University Copy Center is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Campus Document Systems, a document management company that works exclusively with higher education institutions as an extension of their business services departments. Campus Document Systems currently operates on eight different campuses throughout the Houston area within the University of Houston System, Houston Community College System, and Rice University.
Campus Document Systems helps colleges and universities improve their effectiveness and manage operational costs. Document technology and management is complex, time consuming and constantly changing. University Copy Center: Full-service retail copy/print centers including complete pack and ship capabilities
Facilities Management: Management of high-volume and local print and copy devices including the development of a total printing strategy
Professor Publishing: In-house publishing of a wide range of teaching materials including, but not limited to, course packets, custom text, and web-notes
Campus Document Systems creates an on-campus document environment that that is specially tailored to each institution’s unique structure and situation. The program supports professors, administration, and students by leveraging the synergies created by handling the copy center operations and the management of departmental copiers and individual printers.

Executive Bio:
Mr. Helmey purchased Campus Document Systems in 2002. Prior to the acquisition, Mr. Helmey co-founded Selling Solutions Group, a sales consulting and marketing services firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. Selling Solutions Group focused on assisting marketing organizations to define their positioning to their channels/customers and then create tools and training for their sales organizations to implement their positioning.
Prior to founding Selling Solutions Group, Mr. Helmey was Vice President, General Manager of Minute Maid Foodservice, a $300 million division of Coca-Cola Foods. In this position, Mr. Helmey managed field sales, national account sales, marketing, customer service, finance and manufacturing. During the 8 years he served in this position, he restructured the business to create a fully functional SBU, grew volume at a compound rate of 13% and doubled operating profit.
Prior to his promotion to general manager, Mr. Helmey has served as Vice President of Sales and Distribution for Minute Maid Foodservice. In addition, he has also held the position of Vice President, General Manager, Foodservice Products Group for Philip Morris’ Seven-Up Company unit. While at The Seven-Up Company, Mr. Helmey progressed through the organization beginning as a field sales trainee and including various marketing positions to Director of Marketing.
Mr. Helmey is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and resides in Katy, Texas with his wife, Janis.
